These paper dolls (from the 20s) with tabs on the back were found behind our mantel. We found them when we were refinishing the mantle.

We found some old letters and advertisement and brochures from the 30s and 40s as well as tickets to a dinner and theatre from 1923.

I think this was from 1928. When you open it up (see next picture) you see such a happy housewife!

You were most modern to have one of these.

Inside this brochure is pictures of the latest styles of shoes.

This valentine isn't as dirty as everything else that came out from behind the mantle. There is soot on everything. Actually the picture makes it look cleaner than it really is. This one says Germany on it. It pivots at a cotter pin in the middle of her pants.

What kind of car did these tires fit on? I wonder how old this is.

We found this picture and I have no idea. Can anyone identify what this could be? It is a very old picture. Couldn't be after the early 30s.

Mmmm. Shredded Wheat with Creamed Chicken. How could they eat that? It doesn't even look good in the picture!

This is part of a puzzle, 6" high. She is Miss Alla Lone

We found a broken piece of tile, the same tile that is on the floor and sides of our firebox. Everything is a treasure when it has been hiding for so many years, ha.

We found this drawing under several layers of antique wallpaper. We think it was from the plasterer when the house was built.

We can't make out the signature.
