Eriez Stoves

I thought I would create a page dealing with Eriez stoves as there is so little information out there about what they are worth etc. I’d like to create a gathering place for information to share.

If you have any information or would like to tell the rest of us about your Eriez stove-how much you paid for it or how much you sold it for etc, please comment and/or email me a picture that I can post on this page. Thanks!

This is my Eriez gas stove. I received mine from my grandmother-in-law.

COMMENTS ABOUT ERIEZ STOVES I’VE RECEIVED SO FAR.

From: Ray Errett

  • The Thursday, July 19, 2007 edition at www.thederrick.com (the on-line version of the news paper from Oil City, Pa.) has an ad for a 6 burner Eriez stove in the ‘for sale’ section of the classifieds. Thought you might be interested.

Linda says: Thanks Ray! This seems to be a cooking stove instead of a heating stove but still can add to the information about values. I found the ad and the selling price is $400.

The Louis Marx toy company bought three West 12th St buildings which belonged to the Eriez Stove and MFG Co in 1936. They became Marx buildings A, B and C.

I own an antique Eriez oil heater in mint condition that really works. I would like to sell it and would appreciate any info you might be able to give me on its value or websites that would be helpful to me. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you. Becky

I looked for quite some time trying to find out about my Eriez gas stove and didn’t find out anything. Maybe try some of the appraisal websites. Sometimes they will give you one free appraisal and then have to pay for any more than that. I don’t plan on selling mine so I never investigated further. Also, do a search on eBay in the completed items to see if one sold on there recently. Take pictures of your stove to antique dealers and ask if they are interested in buying it. They will give you a lot less than they will sell it for but that is expected because they need to make a profit. Things are only worth what you can sell them for. I don’t know how rare or in demand they are. But I sure love mine.

(I received this comment on my retired blog and have moved it here. This may be the same Becky as the previous comments)

I have a eriez natural gas heating stove that looks like yours except mine has a chrome Indian head on front and on chrome bottom says its a Number 5. Like you I have found no information on them if you do find any would like info and I will do the same. Did you rechrome yours or did you just have to clean it up?

(blog editor) Mine has been painted black because I can see paint drip marks but I believe the chrome is all original. Mine was handed down in the family and was always indoors.
