I had to remove another baseboard to fix part of the mantle and an electrical outlet today. Behind it I found these 3 items. The valentines appear to be from the mid 30s to mid 40s.

The first one says, “To charlotte, from Marion Bauer.” The second one says, “To Helen, From Marion Bauer.” The third is some kind of playing card. I love these surprises. It helps me keep interest in continued (never-ending) house repairs.
