Actually, I did have to wait.
I have been mail ordering things this spring and getting the items within 2 to 3 days after my order was put in. That’s pretty awesome. I remember the days when you ordered something and it was a good 6 weeks before you held it in your sweaty little hands. You’d forget you ordered anything and wonder what was in the box that just arrived.
I have been waiting for 2 weeks for my shade cloth to come by FED X. In the meantime, I had ordered some blonde shellac flakes and they arrived 2 days after ordering them.
Because we are now so spoiled into thinking we should have everything right NOW, I was getting impatient. I called the company and asked if I would get an email when the item shipped, and if they knew approximately when if may ship. They hesitated to say exactly, so I asked for a ball-park figure. Something to go on, to ease my mind that I would have that shade cloth for my deck before our weather got hot…..just a clue, or a good non-binding guess.
They said, yes, I’d get an email and they thought it may ship in a few more days but wasn’t sure. But the doorbell rang just as I got off the phone and there it was, sitting right there on the porch. I didn’t get an email.

Had you only waited just 5 minutes!
That has happened to me a couple times with ebay. I wait and wait for an item to arrive and when I think it’s been a little too long, I break down and send an email to the seller, then low and behold, the item arrives that same day. Had I only waited!
